Hello and welcome to Sew Smittin!
In the past month I have discovered a passion for sewing clothes!
I attempted my first project Tilly's Mathilde Blouse and was hooked.
I started my sewing journey on my Smittin Treasures blog and I'm wanting to chart my progress ups and downs, warts and all on a separate blog.
Here are some photos from my first blouse.

Your first project? All those button holes and tucks? Amazing! That's a lovely Mathilde blouse (and Sharon's too), I really want to make another one, your choice of cotton lawn is perfect.
ReplyDeleteOh thanks and thanks for dropping by, enjoyed every scary stitch! :-)
DeleteThis is really pretty :-) - very impressed with your buttonhole
ReplyDeleteHave been contemplating this pattern - maybe I really do need another one!
Hi Justine - lovely of you to drop by and thank you! - I would love to see your version of the blouse - just started following your lovely blog through the link with Amy at sylkotwist - I love your skirts! :-)
DeleteWow Eilidh you've done so well with your blouse. How did you find it to make? And I adore the buttons. Very cute xx
ReplyDeleteHi Ali thanks I really enjoyed making it, bit scary being my first make, but Tilly's online instructions were excellent and very easy to follow, you should try one! x
